Austin Hansen & Associates was established. Cambro became the first manufacture to partner with Austin Hansen.
Austin covered an 8 state territory with Cambro. He adopted the model of multiple line selling with the addition of Fisher Steam Equipment and Delfield.
1960’s and 1970’s
Austin pioneered industry segment focused meetings, with an emphasis on school foodservice.
Austin became the 16th president of MAFSI in 1968. He spent the next dozen years on the board of directors forging the path for success of future representatives.
1970’s and 1980’s
In 1977, Austin hired his oldest son Cris who had been working in education. Later in the year, Phil Kenny was brought aboard to join the sales staff. A few years later, Austin's youngest son Mark was hired to service the Tennessee territory.
1990’s and 2000’s
Austin executed his succession plan in 1996 with Cris and Phil acquiring Austin Hansen & Associates and renaming the company The Hansen Group. In 2000, wayne Jones joins the group. In 2004, Dave Schwefler joins the group.
Cris and Phil executed the succession plan bringing Wayne and Dave on as partners in the Hansen Group.
The Hansen Group merges with long time MAFSI region 12 group RepsSouth and Dennis Elliot becomes partner.
Cris Hansen retires and Wayne Jones becomes managing partner.
