January’s “Success Of The Month” for The Hansen Group was Phil Armenia. Phil is out of Tennessee and is the expert in all things equipment! Phil has been working with a new concept under the “Urban Grub” owners, Billy Inman and Jay Pennington. We asked Phil a few questions about what he worked on with this new restaurant and this is what he had to say:
THG: What is this new project? Can you tell us the name?
PA: The name has not been released yet- but the owners of Urban Grub are the ones opening the new place! They are working with Inman Foodservices Group and I-Group Interior Design in creating a breakfast/brunch type place on 12th Avenue.
THG: That sounds exciting! Tell us more about Urban Grub and their backstory.
PA: Urban Grub is all about fresh ingredients and house-made specialties, so look for this new restaurant to have the same… but with a different “feel”. They offer a sense of coziness with multiple dining areas, patios, private rooms and booths, and multiple fire places. All custom designs at Urban Grub– so they wanted to stick with the custom design idea, and this is where THG and Walsh & Simmons came in!
THG: Is there any social media we can highlight?
PA: Not for the new location (yet) but Urban Grub is on Instagram at: @urban_grub
THG: So, you said Walsh & Simmons is who you worked with for this new concept. How will they help this new restaurant?
PA: Urban Grub’s owners wanted to stick to the ‘custom’ idea – so with the help of Walsh and Simmons, we were able to come up with options for smaller parties. We used booths and banquette options so tables could be split apart or pulled together!
THG: What Walsh & Simmons items are going to be used?
PA: We are going with the “Pennywiser” collection. This booth is fully upholstered with different fabrics, seat springs and panels.
Way to go Phil! We can’t wait to learn more about this new restaurant coming to Nashville soon!
